Belt & Mat is a reading site. You do not need an account, and we do not collect your name or email unless you write to us.
What is collected
Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in order to deliver and protect the site and to produce aggregate visit statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. The pronunciation buttons use your device's own speech feature, so nothing you play is sent to us. A small setting in your browser's local storage remembers whether you chose the parent or student view on the home page. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and fix any error you report.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Third-party services
Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it delivers the font files to your browser.
Children
Belt & Mat is written for parents and adult students. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
